A Small Beginning, Left Gently

There are times when everything feels loud, or too fast, too much. Then there are moments, often small and unannounced, that just click. Those are the ones that make me pause and I am able to see the world that is still threaded with magic.

The bees buzzing in and out of their tree hive.
A leaf, catching the light just so.
A line in a book that lands like a hand on your shoulder.
A song you didn’t know you needed until it found you.

I’m trying to notice the small moments of wonder and love. The everyday exquisite, magical things that are around us – magical moments

It began as my small way to notice special moments and now, I’m starting to share them with others. Through a card sent in the mail, a funny meme texted, or a quick photo shared.

Now, it has a name, and dare I say – a purpose?

A quiet practice of noticing, making, and sharing joy – one small thing at a time. Using an ongoing, gentle, creative practice where not only do I notice, but I share what I notice. It’s to remind me – and you – that joy, connection, and community still exist.

This isn’t going to be a project that is rooted in consistency. Life is abundant, not orderly. Some weeks are full, some are a little feral. Mindful moments will appear when they appear: a card left on a bench, a photo snapped mid-walk, a quick haiku written. Then shared here with you.

This is my small revolution. A reminder that joy still exists, that community can form in the simplest ways, and there is still good out in the world. If you’ve received one of my cards, you’re already part of it.

This is just the beginning.
Left gently.
With hope it finds you when you need it.
